Job Summary
Stride Staffing is seeking a Production Team Lead / Process Technician. This role is crucial for supporting daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards. It combines team leadership with hands-on technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment, and foster a safe, productive work environment.
Hours
Minimum of 40 hours per week required
Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support production team activities, including workflow coordination, training, and communication.
Monitor and maintain production processes for compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with machinery, equipment, and production systems.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and adjustments to process equipment.
Assist with machine setups, startups, and process adjustments for injection molding equipment.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to implement process improvements and resolve production bottlenecks.
Ensure accurate documentation of production data (output, downtime, scrap, maintenance logs).
Promote and enforce company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist in the development and testing of new production processes or products.
Help maintain inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
Serve as a resource for operators and technicians, providing guidance and technical support on the production floor.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
Strong technical knowledge of injection molding production equipment, process optimization, and troubleshooting (including scientific molding/decoupled molding).
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Syteline preferred.
Excellent phone and computer skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing setting.
Moderately active role involving regular walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
Work in a typical manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures and potential exposure to equipment noise and chemicals.
Strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses, hearing protection, and other required PPE.
