Production Assembly Team Lead

Job Purpose:

Direct and coordinate the respective focus area in production. The work activities, and resources necessary for window manufacturing products in accordance with safety, cost, labor & materials, quality, and quantity specifications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises focus area production assembly employees in manufacturing including safety and completion of daily production schedule requirements. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include training employees, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Plant Safety procedures, requirements, and PPE
  • Provide direction, instructions, and guidance to production assembly workers
  • Communicate and monitor production schedule completion
  • Communicate operational KPI metrics
  • Assure workers have necessary PPE and training to operate machinery and to support production
  • Communicate with production supervisor frequently with problems, concerns ad quality issues
  • Work on the line at an assigned position, but also will need to work in other areas to help as needed to cover absences or assist as needed
  • Must be able to fully work in every position in assigned department
  • Will lead by example

Work Activities:

  • Safety Committee Member
  • Coordinating the Work and Activities of production assembly direct reports
  • Responsible for the efficient utilization of factory assembly employees

Work Content:

  • Use and enforcement of required PPE and Safety Procedures
  • Physical Demands include consistent walking and standing. Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and/or balancing. Use of manufacturing equipment with hands to operate, reach, and/or handle
  • Capable and Comfortable to speak in noisy environments
  • Work environment will consistently require lifting, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs and occasionally pushing up to 100lbs
  • Work environment requires specific vision abilities for both close and distance, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus based on the view

Required Education and Experience:

  • Years of Experience: 2
  • Education: High School or GED
  • Additional Information: Managed Factory Labor Workforce, Worked with Manufacturing Equipment
