Teaching Assistant Professor, Personal Health and Nutrition - HKY

Faculty Position: Full-time, non-tenure track position in the School of Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences in the areas of health and nutrition
Lenoir-Rhyne Universitys College of Health Sciences seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty member at the rank of teaching assistant professor in the School of Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences with expertise in personal health and nutrition beginning in August 2026. Promotion is per the Lenoir-Rhyne University Faculty Handbook.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities include 24 credit hours (4/4 course load) across the academic year, with professional development and service expected. Although scholarship is not required for this position, it may be pursued as part of the teaching assistant professors professional pathway requirements. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, student mentorship, and collaborative work.

The College of Health Sciences provides current and practical knowledge and skills that prepare students for success in differing health science careers. The college offers four undergraduate degrees in exercise science, nursing, public health, and sports management. At the graduate level, the college offers a Master of Science in Exercise Science, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Master of Public Health, Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP/FNP and DNP/PMHNP, and Post-Masters DNP), a Doctor of Health Sciences (DHSc), and a Post-Masters Certificate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) .
