The Black Horse Pike Regional School District has an opening for a Teaching and Learning Supervisor at the CARE Program (Center for Alternative and Restorative Education) at the Camden County College campus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Supervisory and Principal Certification.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience utilizing and managing digital instructional platforms in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, coordinate, and communicate program operations and initiatives.
- Evidence of expertise in multiple instructional modalities, including trauma-informed and best-practice educational approaches.
- Proficiency in the Student Information System (Genesis), including student scheduling, grading, transcript management, and attendance compliance.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively engage students, staff, and stakeholders.
Reports To: Dean of Students, CARE Program
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide oversight of the CARE program instructional platforms, course offerings, curriculum alignment, and program requirements.
- Evaluate teacher performance through ongoing classroom observations and formal evaluations, including a minimum of 30 formal observations annually throughout the district, with actionable feedback to support professional growth.
- Oversee the Student Information System (Genesis) for the CARE program, ensuring accuracy and integrity of student data related to grades, attendance, scheduling, transcripts, and graduation pathways.
- Collaborate with the Technology department for program needs.
- Assist with state reporting and graduation appeals.
- Collaborate with CARE program staff on student recruitment, including application review, admissions decisions, and coordination of informational tours for prospective students.
- Serve as the consultant to building principals regarding students' participation in extracurricular activities.
- Design and deliver ongoing professional development, while also engaging in continuous learning through meetings, conferences, webinars, workshops, and independent research to support ongoing program development of teaching and learning for the overall improvement of the CARE Program.
- Attend meetings with the Dean of Students and Central Office personnel as requested.
- Participate in monthly supervisor meetings and other district-level administrative meetings as required.
- Support the onboarding process by orienting, advising, and mentoring newly hired CARE teachers, long-term substitutes and paraprofessionals as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of CARE events such as: New Teacher Orientation, Back to School Night, and in-service training programs aligned with district priorities for instructional improvement within the CARE Program.
- Support staff in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of instructional and student performance data to inform decision-making.
- Serve as the testing coordinator for all state assessments administered within the CARE program.
- Serve as the coordinator of credit completion for the CARE program.
- Assist with grant writing for the district.
- Provide on-site coaching, training, and instructional support to CARE teachers and paraprofessionals.
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of summer school and summer programs when assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
- Assist with state testing during the summer.
- Serve as the building administrator in the absence of the Dean of Students when assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
- Assist the Dean of Students with summer CARE program planning, including operational setup and implementation of academic technology platforms.
- Collaborate with representatives from current digital platform providers regarding curricular revisions and student accommodations to enhance instructional delivery and support student learning outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
Terms of Employment: 10 months and 20 summer days
Evaluation: Performed annually by the Dean of Students
Salary based on education and experience on the District Salary Guide - starting at $89,525
