Summer 2026 Middle School &lsquoMS Credit Recovery’ Summer Program

Teachers - Middle School 7 Positions Total

Qualifications Required Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in respective content area ELA Math History Social Studies or Science at the middle school level Successful teaching experience Experience implementing standards-based curriculum in one of the four content areas ELA Mathematics Science and/or History Social Studies.

Experience and fluency analyzing assessment data in the content assigned and create targeted instruction levels based on i-Ready and IXL data Ability to relate and communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators

Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.

Qualifications Preferred Experience working in the Malden Public Schools ESL Licensed or SEI Endorsement Special Education license Bilingual and/or ability to efficiently use language support and communication platforms

Duties and Responsibilities Administer and score prepost tests and write anecdotal evaluations of student learning. iReady-ELA IXL-Math teacher created SSScience Participate in staff development meetings and lesson planning prior to instructing students Effectively collaborate with colleagues in a wide range of tasks ie. analyzing data Looking At Student Work aligning to standards Plan and implement rigorous and standards-based lessons Collaborate with the Student Support Specialist in planning small-group instruction to ensure we address students academic gaps while also providing behavioral support and language development Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records Outreach to caregivers in coordination with Program Coordinator and/or Student Support Specialist Keep folders and portfolios with student work Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator or overseeing Director

Duration Program Administration and Implementation 70 hours total to include the following 6 hours of PD and Planning 16 days, 64 hours Monday-Thursday from July 6 - July 30 7:45 AM - 11:45 AM Stipend: $40 an hour, $2800 Funding Source: Title I Grant
