Title: Leave Replacement Music Teacher
Description: One Instrumental Music teacher to work at Fairmount elementary school.
Job Summary:
- Conduct Instrumental Music instruction for elementary age children.
- Organize and implement instrumental music concerts yearly.
- Collaborate with administration and colleagues to schedule instrumental music lessons.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate NJ Teaching Certification
- Possess expertise and experience in instrumental music instruction
- Experience and successful practice working with students and communicating with parents
- Demonstrated the ability to collaborate with colleagues and administrators
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and writing
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, and parents
- Demonstrate organization and management skills with coordination of programs
- Possess excellent behavior management skills, as well as, be able to discipline children with dignity and respect.
- Possess a love of children and enthusiasm for supporting instructors in implementing high-quality after-school programs.
- Experience and successful practice working with students and communicating with parents
Working Conditions: Fairmount Elementary School - 9/1/2026 through 1/31/2027
Salary: As per the HBOE/HEA Contract
