JOB GOAL: To engage students from the HSAP program in transition and career programming that will lead to credentialing, internships, and career networking opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operate as a liaison with a student's origin school in the Career Pathway Programs to provide opportunities from that school to the student in HSAP.
- Provide support and instruction to virtual HSAP students and programming support for origin schools' virtual HSAP programs.
- Teach Personal Finance and other electives as needed.
- Creates an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests ofthe students.
- Confers with and supports middle school and high school academy programs.
- Creates partnerships with outside agencies to support HSAP student career transitions, including, but not limited to, Full Employment Council, military recruiters, Vocational Rehabilitation, and career internships with community businesses.
- Collaborate with the HSAP leadership in facilitating EOC and another state testing.
- Create partnerships with post-secondary institutions to assist HSAP students' continued career education.
- Create and instruct Career Development class for HSAP students.
- Conduct exit interviews of HSAP graduates.
- Assist the HSAP leadership as needed with transportation logistics, food and nutrition services collaboration, and security protocols.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
- Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
- Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and, cooperatively with department heads.
- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
- Works with designated team to plan and determine appropriate steps to meet student needs.
- Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
- Complies with good safety practices.
- Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
- Participates as an observer in the evaluation process.
- Other duties/responsibilities deemed necessary may be assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, hear, and speak and must have close moderate, and distance vision ability. This individual must be able to travel between district facilities. The position requires a moderate amount of travel and physical activity.
CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is consistent with the typical office/school environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work calendar to be established by the Board Of Education. Benefits according to Board policies.
FLSA: Exempt
RETIREMENT: Public School Retirement System (PSRS) eligibility will be determined by the state of Missouri.
CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated by provisions of the Board's policy on evaluations utilizing the Performance-Based Administrator Evaluation process.
