Under the direction of the site principal, serves as a director of learning and provides support to all students to learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens.

Teaching High School English and intervention/enrichment classes in a departmentalized setting. As a director of learning helps students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women.

Candidates must possess the following: 1) a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in English, 2) English Language Learner Authorization (CLAD/BCLAD/CTEL or equivalent) and, 3) Verification of "No Child Left Behind" (NCLB) compliance via California State Exam (CSET/MSAT) or NCLB HOUSSE Certificate of Compliance.

Requirements / Qualifications

This is a permanent position within the district (2 yrs probation) A valid California SIngle Subject/English Teaching Credential (preferred), English Internship Credential; CLAD or BCLAD certificate or equivalent; must have knowledge of and ability to implement the subject matter, philosophical, social, and educational concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities of a school teacher. Master''s degree required.
