NATURE OF POSITION:
This individual will support the Lead Teacher with implementing positive child management in the classroom and assist in assuring that program performance standards are met. The employee may also provide wrap around care with the after school program, modeling and guiding appropriate childcare practices within the center.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associates Degree in early childhood, preschool education or child development or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, preferred
Previous experience in preschool or early childhood program
Strong communication and instructional skills
CPR / First Aid Certification
Ability to work well with children and adults
Maintain a genuine interest in helping children in their educational and developmental process
Ability to work flexible hours as needed for family involvement activities including conferences, open house, family nights, etc.
Demonstrate an understanding of the district's mission, vision and strategic priorities and actively works to advance them through daily practice and professional conduct
Contributes to the culture and climate of the district by modeling its core values, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment and serving as a committed representative of the district's identity and purpose in all interactions with students, families, staff and the broader community
