JOB SPECIFICS
Washington County Property Records and Taxpayer Services Department is hiring for a Taxpayer Services Technician. The person in this role provides customer service; record legal documents and research property, preparation and processing; and performs general office duties.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
SELECTION TECHNIQUE: Your training and experience will be rated based on the required application material submitted and the top-scoring candidates will be forwarded to the hiring department for further consideration.
HOURS / DAYS: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position may be eligible for 1-2 days of remote work per week; however, work schedules and locations are subject to change based on departmental needs and are not guaranteed.
ANTICIPATED HIRING RATE: $21.53 - $29.26 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY
Provides customer service; completes financial and legal document research, preparation and processing, and performs general office duties.
EMPLOYMENT CRITERIA
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Prior experience with customer service, financial reporting, and database management is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is sedentary (sitting and/or standing_) in nature performed within the Government Center or satellite offices. Lifting requirement of 15 - 20 pounds on an occasional basis. Work may require assisted lifting of equipment up to 80 pounds. Wrist and finger manipulation due to filing, compiling, calculating, or computer work. Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, computer, , calculator, telephone, copy ,cash register, microfiche and fax machine, and bar code machine. Additional physical/mental requirements that occur may not be listed above, but are inherent in performing the positions essential functions.
