Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corps, C corps, and trusts/estates
- Research complex tax issues and bring practical solutions back to clients
- Assist with tax planning strategies aimed at minimizing client liabilities
- Review staff accountant work and provide coaching and technical guidance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive, ongoing communication
- Spot tax saving opportunities and other advisory services clients might not know to ask for
- Handle IRS and state tax notices, audits, and examinations
- Take part in year end tax planning meetings with clients
- Manage several engagements at once while hitting deadlines
- Stay sharp on the latest federal and state tax law changes
- Partner with Managers and Partners on complex engagements and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA license or actively pursuing one, preferred
- Minimum of 3 to 6+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing both individual and business tax returns
- Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience conducting tax research and planning
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
