Are you passionate about tax preparation, possess a keen eye for detail and can work with a high level of accuracy? Succentrix Business Advisors, a fast growing and reputable tax and accounting firm in Sarasota, Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch, FL, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Tax Preparer to join our team. If you are a proactive individual with a strong background in tax preparation and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients, we want to hear from you!

Initially this work will be on an ad-hoc basis as when required, but will be full time in tax season.

​Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough interviews with clients to gather necessary financial and tax-related information.
• Issue, and manage the return of Client engagement letters and Tax questionnaires
• Assist clients in maximizing tax deductions and credits while minimizing tax liabilities.
• Research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and up-to-date tax preparation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their tax matters.
• Collaborate with the team to improve tax preparation processes and maintain a high level of efficiency.
• Maintain client confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
• Completing follow-up work with the IRS on behalf of the client

​Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 5 years proven experience working as a tax preparer.
• 3 to 5 years experience in the use of Drake Tax Software is essential and a pre-requisite to securing the position
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing procedures.
• Proficient in tax preparation using Drake Tax Software and tools.
• Proficient in filing returns electronically
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
