Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support U.S. and cross-border (Japan–U.S.) tax compliance and advisory work. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership mentality, and the ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage U.S. federal and state tax compliance for corporate and individual clients
- Support cross-border tax matters, including Japan–U.S. coordination
- Review tax returns and workpapers prepared by staff
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients
- Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors
- Identify tax planning opportunities and support advisory projects
- Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and internal controls are met
- Japanese is plus
Qualifications
- CPA preferred (or in progress)
- 5–10+ years of relevant tax experience (public accounting preferred)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate and individual taxation
- Experience with international or cross-border tax matters a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
