HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Tax Manager, Senior Tax Manager, or Tax Director to join one of our valued client partners in Phoenix, Arizona. We are seeking an accomplished public accounting professional with deep technical tax expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for advising small and mid-sized business clients.

This opportunity is designed for professionals who enjoy balancing technical tax work with client advisory services, staff development, and strategic leadership responsibilities. Depending upon experience and qualifications, candidates may be considered at the Tax Manager, Senior Tax Manager, or Tax Director level.

The successful candidate will help lead the firm's tax practice while serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and leadership teams.

The Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director will oversee complex tax engagements, provide strategic tax advisory services, mentor staff, and manage client relationships.

Tax Compliance & Advisory

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, fiduciary, nonprofit, and individual tax returns.
• Review Forms 1120, 1065, 1040, 1041, 990, and 5471 filings.
• Support multi-state tax compliance and planning initiatives.
• Research and resolve complex tax matters.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies for clients.
• Provide proactive advisory support to business owners and leadership teams.

Client Relationship Management

• Manage and develop relationships with small and mid-sized business clients.
• Lead client meetings and ongoing advisory discussions.
• Communicate deadlines, deliverables, and planning opportunities.
• Deliver exceptional service and responsiveness.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

Team Leadership & Development

• Mentor and develop tax professionals.
• Review staff work for accuracy and quality.
• Assist with workload allocation and resource planning.
• Support technical training and professional development.
• Foster a collaborative and service-focused culture.

Project & Workflow Management

• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Coordinate staffing and project priorities.
• Monitor engagement profitability and progress.
• Support operational improvements and workflow efficiencies.

Technology & Systems

• Utilize QuickBooks, UltraTax, Canopy, and similar tax technologies.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Leverage technology to improve efficiency and client service.

Compensation

$90,000 – $120,000 Base Salary
