Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage a full portfolio of business and individual tax clients from planning through final delivery
- Review complex tax returns including partnerships (1065), S corps (1120S), C corps (1120), individual returns (1040), fiduciary and trust returns (1041), and gift tax returns (709) when applicable
- Research and resolve complex federal and state tax issues
- Provide proactive tax planning and consulting to clients
- Build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships as a trusted advisor
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Tax Seniors and Staff Accountants through training and review
- Review staff work for technical accuracy and firm quality standards
- Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and deadlines through busy season and beyond
- Identify opportunities to improve client tax strategies and firm efficiency
- Partner with firm leadership on special projects and practice development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA license required or actively in process
- Minimum of 8 years of recent public accounting tax experience
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff
- Strong background reviewing complex business and individual tax returns
- Working knowledge of pass through entities, trusts, estates, and high net worth individual taxation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping client service front and center
Preferred:
- Experience with closely held businesses across varied industries
- Strong tax planning and consulting background
- Experience with CCH, UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar tax software
- Track record of building long term client relationships that support firm growth
