Financial Additions is seeking a Tax Manager or Tax Director for an established firm in Fort Worth. This role is ideal for a candidate coming from either public accounting or corporate tax who bring a strong M&A, corporate tax and state tax background.

This is a hybrid role - in office 1-2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation, review, and filing of federal and state corporate income tax returns (Form 1120 and related filings).
• Lead and coordinate state tax compliance, planning, and issue resolution across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions.
• Assist with tax provision processes, including ASC 740 calculations, documentation, and reporting.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or a combination of both.
• Strong experience with corporate federal and multi-state tax compliance.
• Exposure to M&A transactions, tax due diligence, and transaction structuring preferred.
• Experience with consolidated tax returns preferred.
• Knowledge of ASC 740 tax accounting and tax provision processes is a plus.
