Description
CPA firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Director to join our team. This role will focus on managing complex tax engagements for professional services clients, as well as high net worth individuals, families, and related entities.
Job Responsibilities
- erve as the primary point of contact for our clients.
- Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns, including:
- 1040 (individual)
- 1041 (trusts and estates)
- 1065 and 1120-S related to practice partnerships and S corporations
- 709 (gift tax)
- Related entities such as management companies, holding companies, and investment partnerships
- Experience with foreign related tax return
- Advise on matters relevant to clients, such as:
- multi-state income issues
- retirement plan strategies
- buy-in/buy-out structures
- partner compensation models
- K-1 allocation issues
- entity structuring and conversion strategies
- Conduct tax research and prepare technical memoranda on complex issues.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license or EA certification required.
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting required.
- Strong technical knowledge of individual, partnership, s-corporation, trusts, gift taxation and investment partnerships.
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-state taxation issues.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor team members.
