Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager/Auditor (CPA), you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

1. Overseeing and managing all tax operations within the organization while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
2. Conducting thorough audits of financial records and transactions to ensure accuracy and conformity with established accounting standards and legal requirements.
3. Providing strategic tax planning advice and guidance to the management team, including identifying potential tax advantages and minimizing tax risks.
4. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, reports, and other financial documents related to real estate tax.
5. Liaising with tax authorities and representing the company during tax audits and disputes.
6. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's tax policies and procedures remain up-to-date.
7. Training and mentoring junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
8. Working collaboratively with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for business decisions.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in tax management and auditing, with a focus on real estate tax.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting procedures related to real estate.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-finance professionals.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical business practices.
8. Proficiency in using tax software and other financial management tools.
9. A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
