The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing complex tax engagements, developing innovative tax strategies, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. The Tax Manager will lead a team of professionals, collaborate with partners, and work closely with clients to optimize tax positions, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive value through proactive tax planning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AEC clients on tax matters, providing strategic guidance and solutions.
  • Advise clients on tax planning opportunities, industry-specific incentives, and credits to minimize liabilities and maximize benefits.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for AEC clients.
  • Ensure compliance with complex, industry-specific tax regulations, including construction-related tax issues.
  • Manage tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities, ensuring accurate documentation and successful resolution.
  • Develop and implement advanced tax strategies aligned with client goals and industry trends.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience, with a strong focus on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex tax engagements and delivering strategic client solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and staff development.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
