Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax Consultant to join their team in North Carolina. This role is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional to work with a diverse client base, providing comprehensive tax consulting services.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corp, C corp, fiduciary, and non-profit income tax returns and extensions for a diverse client base.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships and be the main point of contact between the firm and the client.
Engage in tax planning to optimize client financial positions.
Prepare and review personal property tax returns, payroll tax returns, estimated tax payments, and depreciation schedules.
Research and resolve federal and state income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax issues.
Respond to and resolve client tax notices from IRS and state agencies.
Qualifications
Experience in preparing and reviewing various types of tax returns.
Strong client relationship management skills.
Proficiency in tax planning and strategy development.
Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving tax-related issues.
Ability to respond effectively to IRS and state tax notices.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Required Work Hours
The position requires availability from Monday through Friday, with standard business hours.
Benefits
The role offers a competitive pay range of $43 to $55 per hour, with minimal travel time required.
