Tax Associate (1–3 Years Experience)

We are partnered with a small, boutique CPA firm in Denver, CO that is looking to add a Tax Associate to its growing team. This is not a traditional CPA firm environment—the firm values flexibility, collaboration, and sustainable workloads while providing high-quality tax and advisory services to its clients.
This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of public accounting experience who is looking to grow technically, gain client exposure, and build a long-term career within a supportive firm.
What You'll Be Doing
Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals and businesses, including 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120‑S
Support tax planning efforts for individuals and closely held businesses
Communicate with clients to gather information, answer questions, and support the tax process
Assist with accounting and financial reporting tasks as needed (GL, reconciliations, financial statements)
Work closely with senior accountants and leadership in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Continue developing technical tax skills while expanding client-facing experience
What Our Client Is Looking For
1–3 years of experience in public accounting (tax-focused)
Exposure to individual and business tax returns
Comfortable communicating with clients and working in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Interest in long-term growth within a CPA firm
CPA-track or Master's in Accounting preferred (not required), Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Work Environment & Schedule
Hybrid role based in Denver, CO, with the ability to work more remotely
Average ~45 hours per week during tax season
