Tax Accountant - HYBRID - NYC

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join a leading law firm.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established, mid-sized law firm with a strong reputation in tax, trusts & estates, and private client services. The firm advises high-net-worth individuals, family offices, closely held businesses, and partnerships

Description

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held entities
• Assist attorneys with tax projections, planning analyses, and structuring support
• Prepare estimated tax payments, extensions, and related filings
• Research tax issues and summarize findings for attorneys and senior team members
• Coordinate with outside accounting firms as needed
• Communicate directly with clients to gather tax information and respond to inquiries

Profile

A successful Tax Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience within public accounting
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
