Role Description

The Cabin Completions Task Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all activities associated with the final aircraft cabin interior installation phase. This includes oversight of monument installation, linings, interior systems, seating, carpeting, plating, and final cabin finish activities.This position collaborates cross-functionally with planning, engineering, supply chain, and production leadership to ensure alignment of installation sequencing, material readiness, labor resources, and milestone tracking in support of on-time aircraft delivery.

 

Essential Job Functions

·         Lead and coordinate the Cabin Completion phase of aircraft programs, ensuring all interior installation activities are executed efficiently and aligned with project schedules and delivery milestones.

·         Oversee the sequencing and execution of all interior installation disciplines, including monuments, linings, systems integration, seating, carpeting, plating, and final cabin finish.

·         Maintain accountability for Action Card tracking and closure across all program phases, including monitoring progress, driving issue resolution, escalating blockers, and reporting.

·         Lead daily coordination and integration meetings with production teams and supporting departments to maintain alignment on priorities, resources, and schedule commitments.

·         Monitor progress toward cabin completion milestones, proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could impact schedule, quality, or delivery readiness.

·         Maintain continuous communication with Production Leads and Managers to ensure operational alignment, efficient resource utilization, and timely issue resolution.

·         Provide accurate milestone tracking, risk assessments, and status reporting to executive leadership and program management.

·         Ensure adherence to quality standards and readiness for functional testing, regulatory inspections, and customer acceptance activities.

·         Capture and document lessons learned to support continuous improvement initiatives and improve future program execution.

·         Foster a professional, disciplined, and milestone-driven production environment focused on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

·         Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aviation management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Minimum 5+ years of production leadership experience, preferably within aircraft completions, aerospace manufacturing, or complex installation environments.

·         Demonstrated experience managing teams in high-mix or technically complex production environments.

·         Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities within complex aviation production environments.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and executive leadership.

 

Required Skills and Abilities

·         Strong understanding of aircraft build processes, including fuselage structure, systems routing, and interior installation phases.

·         Highly organized with the ability to manage complex schedules, materials, and cross-functional workflows.

·         Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and coordinate activities across multiple departments.

·         Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions before they impact production schedules.

·         Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.

·         Ability to make informed decisions quickly in fast-paced and high-pressure production environments.

·         Professional demeanor and composure when operating under tight schedules or urgent program demands.

·         Strong accountability and ownership of program phase execution, ensuring all work is completed on time and to specification.

 

Work Environment

This position is based in an aircraft hangar environment and may involve:

·         Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions

·         Loud noise levels

·         Use of heavy machinery and specialized tools

·         Potential contact with chemicals or hazardous materials

·         Working in confined aircraft interior spaces
