    Job Description Summary:

    The Talent & Engagement Specialist supports excellence in recruiting by serving as an escalated point of contact for hiring-related needs while leading select team member engagement initiatives at the property level. This role partners closely with hiring leaders to resolve recruiting challenges, support effective hiring outcomes, and ensure a positive candidate experience. In addition, the Talent & Engagement Specialist helps plan and execute team member events and internal communications that strengthen engagement, culture, and connection across the property.

    Job Description:

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Serve as an escalated point of contact for recruiting-related questions, issues, and exceptions, supporting hiring managers and HR partners in resolving challenges
    • Partner with hiring leaders to assess staffing needs, provide guidance on recruiting processes, and support effective hiring decisions
    • Monitor recruiting activity in Workday to identify risks, delays, or gaps, and proactively support resolution
    • Review applications and candidate activity to ensure appropriate progression and adherence to recruiting standards
    • Support offer extension and hiring activities as needed, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution
    • Ensure requisitions, applicant, and employee records are maintained in compliance with applicable laws, gaming regulations, and company policies
    • Plan and execute hiring events or job fairs to support staffing demands.
    • Plan, coordinate, and support select property-level team member engagement events, celebrations, and initiatives
    • Assist with the development and execution of internal communications related to recruiting, onboarding, and engagement activities
    • Partner with HR and property leaders to support initiatives that enhance team member experience, culture, and retention
    • Provide guidance and support to new hires during onboarding, including completion of required forms, work cards, and I-9 documentation
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
    • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 3 years of Human Resources, recruiting, and or/onboarding experience
    • Previous experience in Recruitment or Employment within the gaming/hospitality industry preferred
    • Working knowledge of employment laws
    • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
    • Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
    • Experience with applicant tracking systems required; Workday preferred
    • Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams

    Requirements

    • At least 21 years of age
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
    • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
    • Verify right to work in the United States

    • Occasionally push/pull up to 25lbs.
    • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 25lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels

    • Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone
    • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sound in person
