POSITION TITLE: Talent Acquisition Specialist
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director
Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team and play a key role in attracting, evaluating, and securing top talent for our organization. In this role, you will oversee the full recruitment lifecycle; from partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements and sourcing qualified candidates, to coordinating interviews, conducting applicant screenings, and leading offer negotiations. You will maintain accurate candidate records, provide regular updates to key stakeholders, and contribute to workforce planning through monthly reporting and attendance at job fairs. Beyond recruitment, this role is intentionally designed as a launchpad into broader HR as you will gain hands-on exposure to HR operations, employee relations, and people strategy, with a clear path for growth into a generalist or HR business partner capacity for the right candidate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for delivering results that include the following:
- Publishes and manages job openings across multiple job boards and recruitment platforms
- Sources and engages prospective candidates through job fairs and proactive outreach
- Reviews resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet position requirements
- Conducts interviews and assesses applicant qualifications, skills, work history, and compensation needs
- Leads the full interview process from initial screening through final offer negotiation
- Administers or arranges candidate assessments as needed
- Maintains accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system
- Collaborates with hiring managers to define job requirements and provides regular status updates
- Orders background and reference checks in accordance with company policy
- Creates monthly recruitment reports to identify trends and forecast future staffing needs
- Additional duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) a plus, but not required
- 2–3 years of recruiting or related HR experience preferred
- Strong professional presence and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) a plus
- We currently use AAIMTrack and the AAIM Suite

- Primarily sedentary role performed in an office environment
- Regularly required to sit for extended periods and operate standard office equipment including a computer, keyboard, and telephone
- Ability to read and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
