SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist that will serve as a trusted advisor to the hiring managers and support business objectives and business relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups

Develop and update staffing priorities

Design and implement sourcing initiatives to attract and engage top-tier talent aligned with organizational goals.

Conduct weekly customer relationship meetings and update staffing reports

Source and staff open positions, recruit diverse candidates

Work with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans

Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources

Conduct reference checks and establish employment offers

Develop talent sourcing approaches (direct recruiting, job fairs, internet recruiting)

Refer team members to appropriate headquarters services (benefits, issue resolution, drug and alcohol-free program)

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field

Minimum four years recruiting/HR experience or combination of higher education and experience

Construction recruiting experience is strongly preferred

Demonstrate strong willingness to learn the business and develop deep understanding of each role in order to effectively identify and attract top-tier talent

Ability to recommend hiring decisions to upper management

Proficiency in PC and widely used software packages (Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database)

Active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedback

Experience within renewables and/or manufacturing sectors preferred, bringing insight into industry standards and best practices

Exhibits intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to understand processes, people, and challenges at a deeper level

Ability to travel up to 25%

The base pay range for this role is $79,000 - $118,600. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).



Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
