Description:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in supporting the growth and success of HORSCH by identifying, attracting, and hiring high-quality candidates. This position partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop recruitment strategies, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, relationship-driven, and passionate about connecting talented individuals with meaningful career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus - Approximately 80%)

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from requisition through onboarding.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

  • Create and post job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms and social media channels.

  • Source, engage, and build relationships with active and passive candidates.

  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate hiring team interviews.

  • Facilitate candidate communications throughout the hiring process to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.

  • Conduct reference checks and assist with offer preparation and presentation.

  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

  • Represent HORSCH at career fairs, industry events, college recruiting activities, and community outreach programs.

  • Promote and strengthen HORSCHs employer brand within the region and industry.

  • Track recruiting metrics and provide hiring updates to managers and HR leadership.

  • Human Resources Support (Secondary Focus - Approximately 20%)

  • Assist with onboarding activities and new employee orientation.

  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and departmental initiatives as needed.

  • Assist the Human Resources team with general HR functions during peak periods or special projects.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous recruiting, talent acquisition or human resources experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for recruiting events, job fairs, and educational partnerships.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • Flexible scheduling may be available for qualified part-time candidates.
