Skills and CompetenciesAbility to provide high-quality workmanship in alterations repairs and pressing of merchandiseAbility to accurately mark and pin garments for alterationAbility to understand all fit issues and make appropriate recommendations regarding fit and alteration of merchandiseAbility to understand garment care instructions and give appropriate advice with respect to care and maintenance of merchandise.Ability to provide outstanding customer service in person and by telephone.Ability to communicate in a clear concise understandable manner and listen attentively to others understand material and provide information to all employees corporate personnel and customersAbility to read count and write to accurately complete all documentationAbility to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment Ability to work varied hoursdaysRequirements Previous experience as a tailor seamstress or fitter.Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job including but not limited to sewing machines pressing and ironing equipment etc.Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle heavy garments and garment bags throughout the store which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth aboveStrong interpersonal communication organization and follow-through skillsAbility to work varied hoursdays including nights weekends and holidays as neededWillingness to adhere to all company policies procedures regulations and standards.The role will be offered an hourly rate within the range of 30 - 40hr plus eligibility to participate in the Companys medical benefit plan and 401k policy.
