Our client, a leading technology company, is looking to hire a Systems Test Automation Engineer – Battery & Power Systems in Redmond, WA.

Pay Rate Range: $65 to $75/hr W2, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute automated hardware test solutions with a focus on battery and power systems.
Build automated test sequences using Python for routine, regression, and overnight testing.
Program and control test equipment, including DC power supplies, electronic/DC loads, DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, and other lab instrumentation.
Integrate hardware and software components into automated test environments.
Perform hands-on hardware setup, configuration, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Conduct battery/power system testing, characterization, and validation.
Diagnose test failures across hardware, software, instrumentation, wiring, and devices under test.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to improve test coverage and reliability.

Requirements:

Strong experience with hardware/system-level testing and test automation.
Proficiency in Python programming for test automation.
Hands-on experience working with power supplies, DC/electronic loads, DAQ systems, or similar test equipment.
Experience developing automated commands/scripts to control hardware and test instrumentation.
Strong hardware troubleshooting, debugging, and integration skills.
Experience building and executing automated hardware/software test sequences.
Battery or power testing experience is highly preferred.
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing experience is a strong plus.
Experience in aerospace, avionics, automotive/EV, robotics, consumer electronics, or similar hardware environments is preferred.
Familiarity with SCPI, PyVISA, LabVIEW, CAN, UART, SPI, or I2C is a plus.
Must be comfortable working 100% onsite in Redmond, WA.
