Constellation Search Group is looking for a Systems Security Analyst for a full-time position. The Systems Security Analyst is a hands-on security professional responsible for strengthening the organization's security framework, especially concerning endpoints, identity, monitoring, and incident response. This security-focused role integrates deeply with the Microsoft security ecosystem, managing operations like device lifecycle and security monitoring while also handling incident investigations. The position is ideal for a security professional eager to contribute to a growing organization by designing scalable systems and improving security operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily monitoring and analysis using Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel.
  • Investigate, triage, and prioritize security alerts and incidents based on risk and impact.
  • Maintain detailed and structured investigation records, ensuring high-quality alert tuning.
  • Lead and contain investigations for low- to medium-severity security incidents, and coordinate responses across systems and stakeholders.
  • Escalate critical incidents to executive leadership, documenting timelines and remediation actions.
  • Manage device onboarding and offboarding workflows, ensuring endpoint security baselines.
  • Monitor device compliance and proactively manage vulnerability remediation.
  • Oversee identity lifecycle processes, enforcing access controls and conducting access reviews.
  • Leverage automation tools to improve operational efficiency and enhance monitoring capabilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive security documentation and align practices with compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical support where security intersects with device management, serving as an escalation point for security-related issues.
Qualifications:
  • 3-6 years of experience in security operations, endpoint security, or systems administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender XDR, Sentinel, and Entra.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as SOC 2 and HIPAA.
  • Strong understanding of identity governance and least privilege principles.
  • Proficient in PowerShell development and Microsoft Sentinel automation.
  • Capable of communicating technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently while aligning with leadership's strategic direction.
