ABOUT THE ROLE
The Systems Manager at Pacific Alaska Wholesale (PAW) is accountable to develop and support sustainable working procedures. This includes working closely with the PAW Operations Manager along with accounting and logistics personnel and providing stakeholders with effective and timely management information. The role supports the business in the improvement of customer service by interfacing with vendors, PAW Operations, logistics, and warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and inventory management. The role provides actionable insight into operational or inventory related improvements to the VP of Wholesale. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, coach, and develop a small team, setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and supporting individual growth within a collaborative team environment
Manage computing production systems to ensure reliable, stable, and available services for use by stakeholders and service providers
Analyze PAW functions, processes, and activities to improve operational and business software applications for the most effective use of capital, equipment, and people
Develop, implement, and provide effective and timely management information to business stakeholders
Analyze and develop documentation of current and future business requirements
Develop performance measures that provide actionable insight into sales growth within the wholesale business
Own the entire ERP system and lead the migration to a new system
Supervise an inventory and data support team accountable for:
Reviewing all receiving, vendor, shipping, and invoice transaction paperwork
Checking for issues or discrepancies; performing analysis and taking corrective action to complete customer orders
Entering all receiving, vendor, shipping, and invoice paperwork into the ERP system once issues are resolved
Performing inventory transactions and adjustments as required
Maintaining accurate vendor, customer, item, cost, and sales data records within the ERP system
Researching and reporting causes of mis-picks and leftovers to appropriate parties
Actively work with warehouse team members and office staff to build appreciation and understanding of team processes
Monitor and maintain inventory with independent authority to:
Research vendors, request quotes, negotiate with potential vendors, and make recommendations to management for vendor selection
Place orders for inventory, including authorization of substitutions for vendor-discontinued or back-ordered items
Set delivery times to maintain appropriate inventory levels
Maintain records and handle returned goods
Audit order shipments and delivery dates to identify opportunities to combine orders, improve fulfillment, expedite delivery, and reduce freight costs
