This position provides technical support and operational assistance for both Unified Communications systems and Infrastructure-related systems. The role supports system deployments, assists with voice, data, and fiber optic installations, and collaborates with full time staff on system integration or unified communications projects. The position also performs user account management tasks, including assigning Active Directory security groups and managing file share access, while maintaining accurate documentation through help desk and email systems.

Able to work breaks, including summer. Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently and understand technical instructions in English. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and support Unified Communications systems for faculty, staff, and students, including VoIP, contact center solutions, and voicemail systems.
  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain VoIP and Unified Communications devices in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Assist with the deployment and ongoing maintenance of VoIP and Unified Communications systems to ensure reliable service.
  • Assist with the installation of wiring, data connections, telephone connections, and fiber‑optic cabling as needed.
  • Support full‑time staff with various Unified Communications or System integration projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills, internet use, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Apply working knowledge of PC hardware and Windows directory structures.
  • Assign users to AD security groups.
  • Add, Remove, and Audit users in a windows file share environment.
  • Document work performed, issues encountered, and resolutions using email and the Help Desk ticketing system.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and external entities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
