Position Summary

Provides advanced technical expertise and leadership in systems engineering. Leads complex engineering efforts that support the development of new technologies, products, and processes. This role is responsible for delivering high-impact systems engineering solutions across product development, customer programs, and strategic initiatives, while addressing complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in system design, analysis, and development. Lead internal and customer design reviews and drive structured problem-solving approaches.
• Perform full lifecycle requirements management, including elicitation, analysis, validation, and traceability. Decompose customer requirements into system, subsystem, and interface-level specifications.
• Develop and present technical proposals to internal stakeholders and customers to influence program and business decisions. Ensure protection of company intellectual property.
• Conduct system-level analysis, including trade studies, functional analysis, and performance validation for new and existing designs. Document findings and provide actionable recommendations.
• Analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards and validate system designs. Evaluate feasibility of engineering solutions and recommend testing strategies where needed.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical objectives and program execution.
• Act as a technical advisor to management on complex engineering and project-related matters.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, engineering advancements, and applicable standards through continuous learning and professional engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required; Master’s degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 7+ years of systems engineering experience; experience with thermal systems strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and industry standards, including ISO 9000/9001 and AS9100.
• Proven ability to research, develop, and integrate new technologies into engineering solutions.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools (e.g., Cameo).
• Proficiency with engineering design, modeling, and data analysis tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including leadership and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, track performance against goals, and guide teams through key milestones.
• Ability to respond effectively to technical inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Aerospace industry experience required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
