Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Systems Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate must have experience in Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning, Observability & Operations Support, and Scripting, along with a strong foundation in infrastructure support and platform operations.
Rate Range: $42/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Systems Engineer job responsibilities include:
Execute operational support activities across applications, infrastructure, and platform environments.
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, including incident troubleshooting, restoration, and system stabilization.
Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and support overall observability and operational excellence.
Perform infrastructure provisioning and support activities across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Execute system patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities, including post-patch validation and issue remediation.
Support application deployments and releases, including pre-deployment and post-deployment verification.
Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to ensure service continuity.
Support automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, systems engineering, cloud support, or platform administration.
Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments).
Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, and operations support processes.
Experience with scripting and automation for system administration tasks.
Knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies.
Experience supporting production environments and incident management processes.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PowerShell.
Experience with Python scripting and automation.
Familiarity with YAML and infrastructure configuration files.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and cloud-native platforms.
Knowledge of enterprise monitoring, logging, and observability tools.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
