Hiring for a Systems Engineer in Meriden!

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing systems within a fast-paced production environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining and modernizing legacy applications, developing database solutions, and supporting advanced manufacturing technologies to improve operational efficiency and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing systems and applications
  • Maintain and upgrade legacy systems, including VB.NET-based applications
  • Develop and manage SQL databases, scripts, and reporting tools
  • Support and optimize MES and SCADA systems, including Wonderware (AVEVA) and InTouch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements and process improvements
  • Contribute to the deployment of new and advanced manufacturing technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of Systems Engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficiency in VB6/VB.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Strong experience with SQL, including scripting and stored procedures
  • Experience with SQL reporting tools (e.g., SSRS)
  • Exposure to MES and/or SCADA systems such as Wonderware, AVEVA Historian, or InTouch
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support plant operations in a hands-on environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience migrating legacy systems to modern platforms
  • Background in manufacturing system integration or process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and IT teams

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meriden, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.
