Auria is looking to hire a Systems Engineer III. This role REMOTE requiring a secret clearance. We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III with expertise in Full Stack Development, Agile Processes, and a strong background in Space Launch and Operations. This role will require the individual to integrate systems and software in the context of cutting-edge space projects. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled, self-motivated, and versatile engineer capable of working across multiple domains, including system architecture, software development, and the application of Agile methodologies to ensure successful project delivery within the space launch industry. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: System Design and Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of complex space systems, ensuring alignment with project goals, space launch capabilities, and mission requirements. Full Stack Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software solutions (front-end, back-end, databases) to support space systems. Agile Process Management. Space Launch Capabilities: Support the development and testing of systems that validate space launch operations. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement. Testing and Validation: Lead system integration testing and validation activities, ensuring that software and hardware components are properly integrated and meet mission-specific requirements. Documentation and Reporting. WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on space systems and launch capabilities. Strong expertise in Full Stack Development, with hands-on experience in technologies such as JavaScript, Python, Java, React, Node.js, and cloud platforms. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for managing software development life cycles. Demonstrated experience in space launch systems (e.g., satellite payload integration, launch vehicle systems, mission control systems) and understanding of space industry standards. Ability to understand and analyze space and launch vehicle operations to include trajectories, orbit selection, and propagation. Experience with Launch and Orbit design tools such as STK, or Post2 (NASA product) Experience with Javascript or Typescript. Experience with scrum/agile development processes and Jira. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
