Enterprise Mobility and Thin Client Systems Engineer II will provide level three support for IGEL thin client software for the enterprise. Candidate will be responsible for version testing, software upgrades, and documentation for these software applications. Support of the IGEL thin client software and ensuring optimal operations and minimal disruption is a primary responsibility for this role.
The candidate will work directly with field engineers and division managers & directors to provide thin client standards and strategic updates. Candidate will also work closely with thin client vendors to address product support issues and to engage in product roadmap discussions. Additionally, the candidate will provide customer support to the IGEL administrators and directors across the organization. This role requires a self-directed individual who is highly motivated to learn new technologies and develop leadership skills.
The candidate is expected to possess advanced technical and operational expertise and will serve as the subject matter expert on complex thin client technologies.
Interacts with other IT&S departments to address an overall strategy for IGEL Thin Client systems and solutions within the enterprise (ITSD, lTG, Information Security, Field IT support staff, Advanced Architecture, DTS community, System Administrator community).
Included in the candidates' skillsets the candidate will ideally have knowledge of IGEL thin client software. It is not required, but helpful for the candidate to be familiar with the Linux OS systems. Must have strong customer focus, be a team player and display a positive attitude. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, a must. Strong problem-solving abilities and creative approaches.
