Our Emerging Technologies -Solid Dosage Forms US facility in Durham, NC is a 194,000 square foot tableting and packaging facility that supports the production of our innovative oral treatments for patients with type 2 diabetes. The Position

Provide operational support as part of a cross-functional IT Infrastructure team, as well as assist in the maintenance & administration of automated control & IT systems during OFP site Durham project & its future operations. Responsible for the configuration, installation & working condition of the automation equipment control systems & computer Information systems throughout the facility, including site ERP systems, SAP. *Please note, this position will train on first shift, then move to 3rd shift 10pm - 6:30am Monday through Friday.

Essential Functions

  • Install, troubleshoot, diagnose & resolve issues with IT network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, WAPs, etc.) & infrastructure systems (monitoring tools, network management systems, etc.)
  • Hands-on with hardware & software including server room & patch room build outs
  • Operate infrastructure networks equipment/systems under FDA regulations & guidelines as they relate to computer-based information & automation systems
  • Provide tier 1-2 IT network support, including after-hours
  • Provide tier 1-2 server administration/support for onsite virtual servers
  • Provide tier 1 support of site ERP system, SAP, including iDoc monitoring, analysis, & resolution
  • Liaison between site end users & HQ end user support for site ERP system, SAP
  • Provide ad-hoc production support & after-hours support to the site for IT related issues
  • Inventory control of patch cables, video cables, peripherals & other IT items
  • Maintain network/infrastructure documentation in accordance with corporate requirements
  • Support backup/restore processes for manufacturing systems
  • Interacts with equipment & service vendors for troubleshooting, installation, improving reliability &/or efficiency purposes
  • Perform life-cycle system management tasks in conjunction with corporate IT teams for network & infrastructure systems
  • Participate in corporate infrastructure guidance groups
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Identifies, reports & may recommend corrective action for any unsafe conditions to a supervisor, or department manager
  • Adheres to safety procedures including, but not limited to wearing product specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, safety glasses, lock out, confine space & other company policies & procedures
  • Follows all cGMPs & ensures that product is manufactured according to procedure & current good manufacturing practices
  • Maintains training readiness
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited university required
  • May consider an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from an accredited college and five (5) years of experience implementing & administering networks in a medium to large enterprise environment
  • May consider a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience implementing & administering networks in a medium to large enterprise environment
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience implementing & administering networks in a medium to large enterprise environment required
  • Certification in a networking infrastructure discipline (e.g. CCENT, Network +) preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting Windows based virtual servers preferred
  • Experience supporting IT network infrastructure, preferably Cisco equipment required
  • Specific knowledge of networking principles & concepts required
  • Experience supporting Windows based virtual servers preferred
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Food, Cosmetic, Beverage or relevant work preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Experience with VMWare preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in support of production operations a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus
  • Excellent organizational & planning skills, customer service skills & problem-solving skills a plus
