ResponsibilitiesInstalling, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and systems management tools.Managing an Active Directory domain, implementing group policies, providing email support for Office365 environment.Installing and deploying servers based on HP server platform, including blade servers and virtual connect.Knowledge of SAN and NAS.Building, rack‑configuring, and hardening physical and virtual servers (Windows and Linux).Administering Windows Domain services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.).Managing and monitoring installed systems and VMware infrastructure.Configuring load balancing for web and application pools.Understanding and configuring AWS cloud infrastructure using EC2 and VPC.Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.Monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifying solutions, and working with developers to implement fixes.Maintaining security backup and redundancy strategies.Providing technical user‑level support to all departments connected to the network, including thin clients and Citrix virtual desktop environment.Application support including, but not limited to, SQL, IIS, SMTP, FTP, SNMP.Knowledge of network appliances and monitoring applications such as Solarwinds Orion NPM and Zabbix.Knowledge of backup applications such as HP Data Protector and Veeam.Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with end users, vendors, and managers.Identifying and resolving hardware and software problems.Defining user needs and recommending alternatives.Ensuring proper logging for all systems.Integrating systems into monitoring tools.Understanding basic to moderate networking fundamentals.Adhering to information security principles and best practices.Performing other duties as assigned.RequirementsSome cloud experience, preferably AWS.Veeam Backup & Recovery experience preferred.Linux proficiency (command line).Capability and capacity of various software products/communication utilities.Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).Knowledge of the principles of data communications and telecommunications.Knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts and fundamentals.Knowledge of teleprocessing and telecommunications architecture.Entry‑level knowledge of VMWare and virtualization.Entry‑level knowledge of Windows administration.Entry‑level knowledge of monitoring platforms such as Solarwinds Orion.Entry‑level knowledge of physical servers from compute to storage.Entry‑level knowledge of AWS.Entry‑level knowledge of Veeam.#J-18808-Ljbffr
