Position Summary
Reynolds Community College is seeking a Systems Engineer to support and secure enterprise server endpoint and cloud infrastructure across multiple campuses. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing Windows and Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and Microsoft 365 services in alignment with VCCS security standards. The position serves as a technical escalation resource and supports monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer patch, secure, and monitor Windows and Linux servers • Manage virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery systems • Administer endpoint management platforms (MECM, Intune, Endpoint Central) • Create and maintain workstation and laptop images and software deployments • Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) • Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP • Support LAN/WAN and Meraki-managed network environments • Respond to escalated incidents and participate in change management • Maintain technical documentation and security compliance standards
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Systems Engineer, Administrator, or similar role • Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Microsoft 365 • Experience with virtualization platforms and system monitoring tools
