• 5+ years engineering experience rn
• BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent rn
• Active Secret Clearance with that ability to obtain a TS/Sci rn
• Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews rn
• Experience with Risk Management rn
• Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization rn
• Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers. rn
• Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users. rn
• Excellent written and oral communications skills. rn
• Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, RF systems, and system development processes is a plus. rn
• DOORS experience is a plus rn

Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000

This lead System Engineering position is an exciting opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO that encompasses dimensions of system engineering and assisting leadership with knowledge of systems development, engineering, and integration. The successful candidate, as part of our engineering team, will work with our management, product, and IR&D teams to help create strategic technical visions, build successful solutions for executing programs, and strengthen our market domination.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Lead the System Engineering team to ensure all contractual requirements and deliverables are met. rn
• Chair/Host/Support program Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and System Engineering IPTs (SEIPTs) rn
• Ensure timely and accurate CDRLs are submitted according to customer prescribed schedule rn
• Requirement's analysis rn
• System design rn
• System documentation updates rn
• Work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met. rn
• Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions rn
• Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level rn
• Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings rn
• Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings rn
