We're looking for an individual with flexible skills who can provide support in the following areas to help meet our mission:

Duties:

  • Work closely with I/S team to ensure all departmental operations are fully compliant with all federal and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments in order to understand and meet their requirements.
  • Administer and maintain SQL Server database environments across the organization
  • Monitor database performance, identify issues proactively, and implement tuning and optimization as needed
  • Manage database backup schedules, test recovery procedures, and ensure data integrity
  • Control and audit user access, permissions, and security settings
  • Coordinate database upgrades, patching, and maintenance windows with minimal disruption to operations
  • Maintain thorough documentation of database environments, configurations, and procedures
  • Assist with database implementations as needed
  • Design, build, and maintain operational dashboards and reports used by leadership and department managers
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, data validation, and ad hoc analysis
  • Partner with department leads to gather requirements and turn business questions into usable data tools
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and presented in a way non-technical users can act on
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and reduce repetitive data work
  • Train and support end users on reporting tools and data resources
  • Provide support for core business systems, including troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and user assistance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field required with a minimum of five years experience in database management, reporting, or systems support. .
  • Working knowledge of relational database concepts, query development, and data integrity practices.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence principles and the ability to present findings in a clear and accessible format.
  • Application support experience and working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • MCSE or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence and personal auto liability insurance.
  • Good driving record (MVR)
  • Experience with Symantec Endpoint, ArcServe and Microsoft Hyper-V a plus.
  • Ability to travel on behalf of the company, using personal auto when required.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
