To install, maintain, service and support all County telecommunications hardware, equipment, peripherals, and enterprise applications, while adhering to best practices and license requirements to preserve business continuity.

All current county employees will follow the promotion/demotion policy. This job is onsite in Carlisle, PA with a hybrid work option available after a successful probationary period.
Responsibilities:
• Installs, troubleshoots, maintains & provides technical support for various Video Teleconference Systems related equipment & projects, including but not limited to: • Enterprise level Video Teleconference systems • Supports Public and internal meetings with VTC systems as directed • Regularly checks, upgrades and maintains VTC systems • Manages VTC Systems lifecycle, projects, installations • Assists with Cisco VoIP/Unified Communications, and other integrated systems • Voice Telephony Systems, voicemail, voice network lines and related hardware • Fax Server systems, applications, and workflows • Establishes performance baselines, corrects system errors, monitors, and maintains disk space, memory usage and overall performance for all Video Teleconference systems • Responds quickly to notifications of outages, warnings of all VTC/telephony systems, both from network monitor and management • Manages accounts, purchases and inventory of video conferencing systems, telephone, and unified communications • Assists with emergency notification system in coordination with Security/Sheriff • Assists with functionality of E911 related services to telephony equipment • Develops, updates, and maintains contingency documentation and provides training to internal IMTO employees and County employees to leverage technology • Works directly alongside the IT Telecommunications Systems Administrator in a team based, collaborative environment • Works with IT Manager and vendors to ensure contracts, maintenance and warranties are properly implemented • Prepares, audits, and requests payments for County phone bills • Evaluates, recommends, tests, and implements new technologies / products to improve service levels • Coordinates purchases and projects with vendors and customers • Administers network accounts access and user privileges • Answers phones for department when needed • Assists with Elections support of hardware or software • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred. Associates degree or 5-10 years of work experience in technical support / information technology will be considered. Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA Certifications a plus.
Work Experience: 2-4 years' work experience in technical support / information technology.

• Must possess the ability to record, convey and present information, explain procedures and follow instructions. • Must be able to sit for long periods throughout the workday, with intermittent periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting and reaching necessary to carry out duties of job. • Dexterity requirements range from simple to coordinated movements of fingers/hands; feet/legs; torso necessary to carry out duties of job. • Sedentary to medium work, with occasional lifting/carrying of objects with a maximum weight of fifty (50) pounds. • Must demonstrate emotional stability, pay close attention to details and concentrate on work. • Must be able to cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.
