Job Description:

Job Summary

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Administrator supports Windows domain, network, and multi-location infrastructure operations. This role also maintains servers and workstations and provides help desk support to end users.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain network operations, including hardware assembly, in support of the IT Manager.
  • Configure computers and laptops for new and existing employees, including user account creation.
  • Provide first- and second-level help desk support and issue resolution.
  • Install, test, and maintain required software and hardware.
  • Support hardware including Dell and Cisco servers, Dell desktops/laptops, printers, copiers, Cisco network equipment, and Cisco phone systems.
  • Upgrade network hardware and software as needed.
  • Manage network printing, directory structures, and user security/access rights.
  • Provide network, PC, and software technical support to users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common network issues.
  • Monitor and maintain system backups.
  • Ensure phone systems and computers remain fully operational.
  • Travel occasionally to support remote sites.
  • Provide after-hours remote support when required.
  • Act as backup to the IT Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

 

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a System Administrator or IT Helpdesk.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and positive approach; represents company culture to employees, vendors, and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move computers, printers, and servers.

Education, Certification & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's/Bachelor's degree in IT preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (A+, CCNA, or similar) a plus.
  • Working knowledge of networking, security, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Experience supporting multi-location IT environments preferred.
  • Proficient in current Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
  • Basic scripting/programming knowledge (SQL a plus)

Salary range: $65,000-$80,000
