Position Overview:
  • Systems Administrator to support and secure a large-scale Windows server environment across on-premises and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
  • Possess expert-level experience with VMware, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and server patching/vulnerability management.
  • Focus heavily on operational stability, server lifecycle management, security remediation, patch governance, and enterprise infrastructure support.
  • Experience with HPE Synergy is considered a strong plus but is not required.
  • Comfortable operating in enterprise environments with formal change management, security standards, and high availability requirements.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise Windows Server environments across physical and virtual infrastructure
  • Manage and maintain VMware virtualized infrastructure, including provisioning, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and lifecycle operations
  • Administer Windows Server operating systems (2019–2025), including:
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • DNS
    • DHCP
    • File and print services.
  • Support and maintain HPE Synergy composable infrastructure and HPE OneView management tools (nice to have)
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute enterprise server patching cycles across production environments
  • Perform vulnerability remediation activities, including:
    • Reviewing vulnerability scanner findings
    • Coordinating remediation efforts
    • Tracking compliance and closure.
  • Utilize enterprise patching and vulnerability management platforms such as Ivanti or comparable tools
  • Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to align patching and remediation activities with operational requirements
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation processes to improve operational efficiency
  • Monitor server performance, availability, capacity, and operational health
  • Support backup, recovery, and business continuity processes for server infrastructure
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and audit-related records
  • Participate in on-call support rotation and provide Tier 2/Tier 3 infrastructure support
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Expert-level experience administering Windows Server environments (2019–2025)
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • Windows server hardening
    • Enterprise infrastructure operations
  • Expert-level VMware administration experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise server patching and vulnerability management
  • Experience using patch management platforms such as:
    • Ivanti
    • SCCM/MECM
    • WSUS
    • Comparable enterprise tools
  • Proven experience coordinating and executing patching cycles in production environments
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability remediation workflows and security best practices
  • PowerShell scripting experience for automation and operational support
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across infrastructure, security, and application support teams
  • Technical Environment:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HPE Synergy and HPE OneView
  • Experience working within hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management and ITIL processes
  • Exposure to vulnerability scanning and compliance reporting tools
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • VMware VCP
    • Microsoft Certifications
    • Security+
    • Other infrastructure/security certifications
 
Pay Rate: $75.00-80.00/Hour
