Systems Administrator III

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)
Position Type: Onsite
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extension Possible)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Systems Administrator III to support enterprise endpoint management, Microsoft cloud technologies, and secure desktop operations within a mission-focused environment. This role is responsible for administering Microsoft Intune and Azure Entra environments, managing enterprise Windows endpoints, implementing security baselines, troubleshooting complex system issues, and improving day-to-day operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft endpoint management experience, a security-first mindset, and the ability to work independently while supporting enterprise IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft Intune-managed enterprise endpoints
  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment
  • Administer Azure Entra identity and endpoint security configurations
  • Configure and manage enterprise desktop policies and security baselines
  • Support endpoint asset management and lifecycle activities
  • Troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and peripheral device issues
  • Support VoIP operations within enterprise environments
  • Implement and maintain IP/Port and URL-based network access controls
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 tools to manage daily operational activities
  • Independently resolve technical issues and recommend operational improvements
  • Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support secure and reliable IT operations

Required Technical Skills

  • Experience administering Microsoft Intune-managed environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Entra
  • Strong Windows enterprise administration experience
  • Experience supporting:
    • Enterprise desktops
    • Endpoint management
    • Peripheral device management
    • Asset management
    • VoIP operations
  • Experience administering network access controls including:
    • IP/Port filtering
    • URL-based filtering
  • Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards including:
    • CIS Benchmarks
    • STIG
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience improving operational processes through automation or self-driven initiatives
  • Experience working in regulated enterprise environments
  • Growth mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
  • Local to the Indianapolis, IN area

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience administering enterprise Microsoft endpoint environments
  • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex technical issues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to support onsite operations in Indianapolis, IN
