Jacobs Levy Equity Management, located in Florham Park, NJ, is seeking a Windows System Administrator. This position is focused on managing our corporate network, servers, and virtual desktop infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities include:
- Assist in managing IT Infrastructure operations (Physical/Virtual Servers, Networking Connectivity, Storage Network, VDI Help Desk Support, Daily Backup, VOIP Phone System).
- Install and upgrade servers following established guidelines.
- Responsible for production and all operational aspects of the on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain IT documentation when changes are made; assist in the development of IT strategic plans; develop IT plans and recommendations for management.
- Coordinate and implement off-hours server patch management.
- Monitor and review EDR/XDR alerts (events, security, and firewall, etc.) and resolve related issues.
- Respond to user's help desk requests and keep them informed through problem resolution. Properly document the tasks performed to resolve each ticket.
- Communicate with vendors to troubleshoot, fix, upgrade, and improve hardware and software.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years experience in the job or related. Prior education, training or experience to include:
- VMWare
- Managing networks, Windows system administration and desktop support
- Storage area network
- Microsoft 360
- FortNet
- Veeam
- Microsoft Azure
Telecommuting may be permitted a few days a week. When not telecommuting, must report to JLEM's office in Florham Park, NJ.
