Overview/ Job Responsibilities:

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

 

Entarian is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator who will be skilled in designing and managing IT systems and have a robust background in managing a complex IT environment. The Systems Administrator works closely with systems engineers, software developers, architects, and government stakeholders to engineer secure, resilient solutions that support mission objectives while balancing security, performance, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in large-scale technical environments involving space systems, ground infrastructure, mission operations, communications networks, or enterprise IT capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, operating systems, and applications ensuring system reliability, performance, and security across the IT infrastructure
  • Close coordination with cybersecurity analysts, network engineers, NOC controllers, and Mission Partners while conduction operations, administration, and maintenance of the IT systems
  • Implements and manages backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity and ensure operational continuity of the system to include regular testing of the backup procedures and disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure security patches and updates to systems and applications are completed in required time-frames and in coordination with the cybersecurity team
  • Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for adherence to DOD guidelines and industry best practices while looking for areas of system resource optimization
  • Work with Configuration Management team to provide detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and updates

 

Salary range: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information TechnologyComputer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline. (Equivalent experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum five (5) years of Systems Administration experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux environments. (Active Directory/Exchange/ADCS/PKI)
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization basics (e.g., basic understanding of VMware or VirtualBox)
  • Knowledge of storage architecture (NAS/SANS)
  • Security hardening of Information Systems (Linux/Windows/Endpoints)
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ansible, Powershell, etc.)
  • Basic networking knowledge (OSI layers, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
  • Good technical communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, mission partner engagements, and operational activities.
