Job title: Windows Systems Administrator - Control Center Infrastructure

Location: Staten Island, NY- Onsite

Rate: $50/hour on W2

Type: Contract

Must: In-person interview

Position Overview

The ideal candidate has experience administering Microsoft Windows environments, deploying and supporting desktop and server infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and working closely with operations and IT teams to ensure high system availability. This position offers the opportunity to support critical infrastructure while contributing to technology upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, and continuous operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows desktop and server environments.
  • Perform operating system upgrades, software deployments, system patching, and routine maintenance.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues.
  • Configure and support endpoint devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Support workstation imaging, deployment, lifecycle management, and hardware refresh initiatives.

Infrastructure & Network Support

  • Assist with administration and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Configure endpoint devices within enterprise network environments.
  • Support data center operations, including monitoring UPS systems, environmental controls, and infrastructure health.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors on hardware maintenance and infrastructure support activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure and desktop administration.
  • Experience imaging, deploying, and supporting Windows workstations and laptops.
  • Strong experience administering Microsoft Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience supporting DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
  • Experience using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to support occasional after-hours maintenance and emergency response activities.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between company locations as needed.
