Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a System Hardware/Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate with experience developing, testing, and supporting automotive electrical systems and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) solutions.

Rate Range: $40/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

System Hardware/Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute TPMS design verification plans (DVP) on test benches, HIL environments, and vehicles to validate system performance.

  • Support the design, development, and testing of TPMS hardware, software, and electrical systems throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Ensure compliance with automotive regulatory standards, including FMVSS, ECE, RF certification, and homologation requirements.

  • Track, analyze, and resolve engineering issues using FEDE, JIRA, and other product development tools.

  • Lead and participate in design reviews, quality documentation activities, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.

  • Support product launches, APQP/PPAP activities, and vehicle integration efforts to ensure successful implementation and production readiness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the design, development, and testing of automotive electrical systems, hardware, software, or vehicle electronics.

  • Hands-on experience with TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), design verification testing (DVP), HIL testing, and automotive product validation processes.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive regulatory standards (FMVSS, ECE), quality documentation, issue tracking tools (FEDE, JIRA), and cross-functional product development activities.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
